A medium size company operating a leased fleet from GE’s TIP Trailer Services found that the company was spending a high percentage of its time and cost attending to its fleet. Of this cost almost two thirds was paper work associated with claim processing. They approached us to help them reduce their operating time and costs. After some analysis and new process implementation, we were able to reduce their cost by almost half.
MINOR DAMAGE PROTECTIONCase study
A major customer in the building industry who frequently used subcontractors, rented trailers from GE’s TIP Trailer Services. During the rental period they found that small damages such as broken lights frequently occurred. Unfortunately in a normal insurance scenario, they discovered that these types of damages were hard to claim against. By taking a Minor Damage Protection from GE’s FleetProtect, the customer is now protected against small damages. This helped him reduce the time and effort spent on discussing every claim.
TYRECARECase study
During long distances the risk of a tyre blow out increases . For one particular international logistics company, most of their key routes were operated abroad. Their roadside repair costs were very high and often not budgeted for. TyreCare from GE’s FleetProtect allowed them to easily budget their costs, as the amount was agreed up front and included in the protection agreement. In addition, they found that because of GE’s extensive Pan-European network, they were able to receive prompt service regardless of where the damage had occurred.
